Gas Line Services in Phoenix, AZ

Gas line work, done to code. Done right.

From a new BBQ line to a full appliance install or a suspected leak, Liberty’s licensed plumbers handle gas work with the care it requires — proper diagnostics, code-compliant install, and no shortcuts. Serving Phoenix metro and Northern Arizona.

Gas work is the one part of plumbing where “close enough” isn’t a thing. A loose fitting that leaks slowly for months. An undersized supply line feeding three appliances that should be feeding two. A flex connector behind the range that was never rated for the BTUs being pulled through it. We see all of it — and in every case, the fix is the same: diagnose properly, size it right, install to code, and pressure-test before we sign off.

Whether you’re adding one new appliance or running a fresh line across the house, here’s where to start.

Our Gas Line Services in Phoenix

Pick the service that fits your situation. Not sure where to start? Call us and we’ll walk you through it.

Gas Line Installation

Adding a new appliance or running a line where one didn't exist before? We size, route, and install gas lines that pass inspection the first time — black iron, CSST, or copper, depending on what your project needs.

Gas Line Repair

Failed pressure test? Visible corrosion? Bad fitting? We isolate the issue, repair it properly, and re-pressure-test the system before we leave. No band-aids on gas lines.

Gas Leak Detection

Smell gas but can't find the source? We use combustible gas detectors and pressure testing to pinpoint the exact location — not just the general area — so the repair is targeted, not a guess.

Gas Leak Repair

Once we know where the leak is, we fix it properly — replacing the failed section, testing the surrounding line, and confirming the system is tight before re-pressurizing. No corners cut on a leak repair.

Gas Appliance Installation

Range, oven, dryer, fireplace, or pool heater — we connect new gas appliances properly with the right shutoff, the right flex connector, and the right line size for the BTU load. We don't install over an undersized supply.

Gas Water Heater Installation

New gas water heater, replacement, or a switch from electric to gas? We handle the gas supply, venting, and water connections in one job — to code, with proper combustion air, and ready for inspection.

BBQ Gas Line Installation

Tired of swapping propane tanks? We run a dedicated natural gas line to your built-in BBQ or outdoor kitchen — sized for the burner load, with a proper shutoff and a clean termination behind the grill.

Gas Fireplace Installation

New gas fireplace, log set conversion, or running a line to an existing firebox — we handle the supply side and coordinate with your fireplace installer or remodel contractor on the rest.

Gas Dryer Installation

Switching from electric to gas, or installing your first gas dryer? We run a properly sized line, install the shutoff and connector, and verify there are no leaks before you load the first cycle.

Gas Stove Installation

Replacing an electric range with gas, or upgrading to a higher-BTU professional range? We size the supply, install the connector, and pressure-test the line so you can cook safely from day one.

No matter your situation, our plumbers provide service you can rely on.

Why gas is the one job you don't want done casually

Most plumbing mistakes cause inconvenience. A bad supply line connection leaks. A poorly installed disposal hums. You notice, you call someone, you fix it.

Gas doesn’t work that way. A gas line that’s installed wrong — undersized, improperly sealed, or routed through a space that wasn’t designed for it — doesn’t announce itself. The failure mode is silent until it isn’t.

That’s why every gas job we do follows the same playbook:

If you’ve ever had a “gas guy” run a line over a weekend without a permit, get it inspected. It might be fine. It might not.

We size the line for the actual BTU load, not what the homeowner assumed. An undersized line is the most common installation mistake we see — and the hardest to detect after the fact.

We use the right material for the application. Black iron, CSST, and copper each have a place. Using the wrong one because it's faster or cheaper is how problems get baked in.

We pressure-test every job before we leave. Not a quick sniff with a leak detector — a full pressure test, held for the time required by code, documented for inspection.

We pull permits when permits are required. Arizona requires permits for most gas line work. We handle that for you, and we don't skip it.

What working with Liberty looks like

Step 1 — We diagnose before we quote

Whether it's a leak, an existing line you want extended, or a fresh install for a new appliance, we start by understanding what's already in the system. That includes meter capacity, existing line sizes, and how many appliances are pulling from the supply. You'll know the actual scope before we start.

Step 2 — We explain your options

Most gas jobs have more than one path. Run a new dedicated line, or upsize the existing one? Surface-mount or fish through the wall? CSST or black iron? We'll lay out what each costs, what each takes, and which one we'd pick if it were our house. Then you decide.

Step 3 — We fix it right the first time

Every gas job ends the same way: pressure test, document, sign off. If a permit is required, we pull it. If an inspection is required, we schedule it. When other plumbers cut corners on gas, we don't. That's not where we save money.

Gas line questions, answered straight

I smell gas. What should I do?

Leave the house. Don’t flip light switches, don’t start a car in the garage, don’t use a phone inside the house. Once you’re outside, call your gas utility’s emergency line — they’ll shut off the supply at the meter. Once the system is safe, call us and we’ll handle the diagnostic and repair.

It depends on length, route, and what you’re feeding. A short BBQ line tap is one number; running a new line across a finished house to a new appliance location is another. We give you an upfront estimate before we start work — no guessing.

For most gas line work in Arizona, yes. Adding a new line, extending an existing one, or replacing a section all typically require a permit and inspection. We pull permits as part of the job — we don’t ask you to handle that paperwork, and we don’t skip it.

Usually yes — but only after we verify the existing line is sized correctly for the new load. Adding a high-BTU range to a line that’s already feeding a furnace and water heater can starve all three. We check the math before we tap in.

It can be — usually a pressure or supply issue, sometimes a venting problem. We diagnose it before we recommend a fix. Sometimes it’s a $20 regulator adjustment; sometimes the appliance is starving for gas because the line is undersized.

Same day for active leaks — once you’ve made sure the supply is shut off at the meter. For non-emergency gas work (installations, planned upgrades), we schedule out a few days. Call us either way.

Yes — fully licensed, bonded, and insured in Arizona for gas line installation, repair, and leak detection. ROC license number is in the footer of every page on this site.
