Peoria homeowners call Liberty for water softeners & filtration because we're local to the Valley, licensed, and answer the phone 24/7. Peoria stretches from the fast-growing far-north builds around Vistancia down to the established 1990s neighborhoods in the south. The newer homes hit builder-grade fixture and warranty issues. The older ones are entering water-heater and copper-leak territory. We work both ends of town. When we look at your place, you'll get the truth about what needs doing, your options, and a fair upfront price.

Peoria gives us a wide spread of home ages, and the work tracks the era. Vistancia and the newer master-planned areas up north are 2010s builds where we mostly handle softener installs and builder-grade fixture upgrades. The heart of our Peoria work, though, is the 1990s housing stock in Fletcher Heights and the established neighborhoods around 83rd and 91st Avenues. Those homes are now reaching the age where the original copper supply lines and water heaters are failing, and we're increasingly talking to owners about whole-home repipes as pinhole leaks start repeating in the same slab.

What we see on Peoria plumbing

  • Builder-grade fixtures and shut-offs failing in newer Vistancia builds
  • 1990s homes reaching slab-leak and repipe age

How a Peoria water softeners & filtration call goes

  1. Test your water

We measure hardness (and on wells, iron, pH, and sediment) before recommending a system.

  2. Right-size the system

Softener grain capacity matched to household size; RO for drinking water; well treatment staged for your specific water.

  3. Install & loop in

Installed at the main with a loop so it protects the whole home, heaters included.

Water Softeners & Filtration in Peoria, FAQ

Do I really need a softener in Anthem?
If you want your water heater, fixtures, and tankless to last, then yes. Our hardness is extreme even for Arizona.
What's different about well water out here?
Wells in Cave Creek and New River can carry iron, sediment, and pressure-tank trouble a city softener won't touch. We test and treat for what's actually there.
How hard is the water in my area, and do I actually need a softener?
Across Anthem, Scottsdale, and Glendale, hardness usually runs 16-20 grains per gallon, which is very hard. If you're seeing white scale on fixtures, spotty glassware, and short water-heater life, softening will protect your plumbing and appliances. We test on-site so the system is sized to your actual number.
What's the difference between a water softener and a reverse-osmosis system?
A softener pulls the hardness minerals out for the whole house, protecting your pipes and heaters. Reverse osmosis is a point-of-use system, usually under the kitchen sink, that cleans up drinking water by removing dissolved solids, chlorine, and contaminants. A lot of homes want both, and the softener actually extends the life of the RO membrane.
Will a softener make my water taste salty?
No. Ion exchange adds a small amount of sodium in proportion to the hardness, and you won't taste it at normal levels. If you're on a sodium-restricted diet, we can set it up with potassium chloride instead, and an RO unit on the drinking tap takes it out entirely.
I'm on a well in Prescott. Can I just install a softener?
Not without a test first. Well water in the high country can carry iron, sulfur, sediment, low pH, nitrates, or bacteria, and a softener does nothing for most of those. We pull a lab test and build the treatment stack around the results, which often means an iron filter or pH neutralizer ahead of any softener.
Does softened water hurt my plants or garden?
Plants generally don't care for the added sodium in softened water. That's why we plumb a bypass or keep an outside hose bib on the hard line, so your irrigation and garden get untreated water while the house gets softened. It's a simple loop decision we make at install.
My Fletcher Heights home is from the 1990s. Is it time to consider a repipe?
It may be. 1990s Peoria homes are now at the age where the original copper under the slab starts developing pinhole leaks again and again. If you've had more than one slab leak, a whole-home repipe is often cheaper over the long haul than chasing leaks one at a time. We'll look at your lines and give you an honest call.
