Accessibility Statement

Liberty Plumbing wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, or need larger text and stronger contrast. This page sets out where we stand, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us if something gets in your way.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for making web content more accessible. This site aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content do not fully conform. We use that wording deliberately: automated testing currently returns a perfect accessibility score, but automated tools can only check about a third of the guidelines. We have not yet had an independent expert review the site by hand, so we are not going to claim more than we can demonstrate.

What we have done

  • Every image carries alternative text, with decorative images correctly marked so screen readers skip them.
  • Text and background colours were measured and adjusted to meet the 4.5:1 contrast minimum for body text, across every background used on the site.
  • Links inside paragraphs are underlined, so they are not identified by colour alone.
  • Headings run in order, so a screen reader can navigate the page by structure.
  • Expanding sections and menus work without JavaScript and can be operated from the keyboard.

Known limitations

Being straight about what we have not verified:

  • No independent manual audit has been carried out. Screen reader behaviour, full keyboard journeys and cognitive load have not been formally tested by a specialist.
  • Online booking is handled by ServiceTitan, a third-party system we do not control. If any part of booking is difficult to use, please call us and we will book the visit for you.
  • Some pages take longer to load than we would like, which can affect anyone on a slow connection.

Tell us about a problem

If any page, feature or document on this site is difficult for you to use, we want to know, and we will help you get what you need in the meantime.

Call (623) 473-0555. A person answers 24 hours a day. Tell them it is about website accessibility.

We aim to respond within two business days. If something on this site is stopping you from booking a plumber, please just call: we will arrange it over the phone at no disadvantage to you.

Technical information

Accessibility here depends on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. The site is built to current standards and tested in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on desktop and on phones.

How this was assessed

Self-evaluation, using automated testing against WCAG 2.1 Level AA together with manual checks of contrast, heading structure, alternative text and keyboard operation. This statement follows the structure recommended by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative.

There is no official government certification for website accessibility. Any badge claiming to certify a website as ADA compliant is issued by a private vendor, not by a regulator. This statement is our own assessment, published so you can hold us to it.
